Cleaning Master was founded in 2012 by Parviz Shahidi with one clear vision: to provide professional, reliable, and high-quality cleaning services that New Yorkers can count on.

ANSWERS TO OUR MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • How many people come to clean
    It depends on our schedule and the type of cleaning services you need - anywhere from 1 person to 2 people. The minimum work hours for one person is 2 hours. Hours are listed in labor-hours, meaning that a 4-hour appointment could either be one pro working for 4 hours or two pros working for 2 hours.
  • Is there an extra charge if I have a pet?
    We have a standard extra charge of $25 if you have pets, as this accounts for the extra work required to perform a thorough cleaning of your apartment. However, there are certain situations where not ALL pets shed severely, in which case, please let us know if this is the case in your booking requests, and we will waive the pet fee.
  • What supplies do I need to provide?
    Your only responsibility is to provide us with a mop, a bucket, a broom, a toilet brush, and a step stool or ladder. And if you have a pet or carpeting, you should also supply a working vacuum cleaner. We do not provide these primarily for hygiene reasons, as we do not want to bring any unnecessary contaminants into your home. Again, Cleaning Master cleaning staff do not provide a vacuum, conventional mop & bucket, step stool, or a toilet brush. Cleaning Master provides all the cleaning products (EPA registered), including rags and paper towels, for cleaning.
  • What is included in a home cleaning?
    Most customers want a general surface cleaning and sanitizing of their home, which includes all kitchen and bathroom surfaces wiped and sanitized, furniture dusted, rooms picked up and tidied, floors swept, mopped, or vacuumed if you have a vacuum cleaner, linens changed and beds made if you'd like. We will clean the inside of the microwave as well. If your home is larger, you can purchase additional time for more rooms. If you'd like a deep cleaning or move-in/out cleaning - we'll clean all areas noted before as well as inside the fridge and freezer, oven, cabinets, closets, and your interior windows, blinds and baseboards.
  • What can't we clean
    Our team does not handle the following: -Exterior windows -Moving Furniture / Areas inaccessible by heavy furniture -Carpet cleaning -Animal waste removal (cat litter or dog waste areas) -Mold removal -Industrial cleaning -Lifting of heavy items -Surfaces above arms reach -High ceiling fans (as this poses a safety risk for our staff without the proper gear)
  • What is Cleaning Masters Service Guarantee?
    Cleaning Master offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee - We've sure you'll love our cleaning services, but if you encounter any issues, we'll do everything in our power to make it right.
  • What If Your Technicians Have Damaged My Property?
    We are Bonded and Insured, you are protected from any kind of wrongdoing. We process complaints received only within 48 hours from the end of the cleaning.
  • Do I need to provide cleaning supplies?

    If you cannot provide a mop/bucket/vacuum/toilet brush, we will be unable to clean spaces that require these tools. While we always like to be as helpful and courteous as possible for our clients, this policy ensures proper sanitization within your living space and does not bring any contaminants from other spaces. If you cannot provide these items, we could offer a partial refund.
  • What if I just had renovation work done?
    We do not offer post-construction cleaning services as part of our standard service packages. However, if you need post-construction cleaning, please call us for a customized quote.
  • Can I give specific instructions to the cleaners and ask for special requests?
    Yes, however special instructions or requests are approved on an as-needed basis, assuring it complies with our cleaning protocols.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    We allow for full-refund cancellations up to 24 hours before your scheduled cleaning time. If you decide to cancel within 24 hours prior to your scheduled cleaning, we charge a $40 cancellation fee.
  • How do I pay for Cleaning Master services?
    You can pay via credit card, PayPal, or cash.
  • What is the tipping policy?
    Tipping is all dependent on your positive experience with your cleaning services. Typically, our customers tip 15-20% of the cleaning fee, specifically to the cleaning staff. Tipping is welcomed after the job is completed and can be handled with cash or through PayPal / Venmo - directly with our cleaning staff.
  • When can I tip my cleaning service?
